Dear Empowerkit Client,
Thank you for being a customer of our marketing services.
We often get asked if we’re able to guarantee rankings. I want to be clear that we, or really anyone else but Google, cannot guarantee your placement in Google search results. Google changes their ranking algorithm constantly.
We do our best to keep up with the latest changes, but what works one day may change tomorrow.
What we can however promise you, is that we are following Google’s guidelines in writing unique content for your site, which helps Google understand what your site is all about and separate it from others. This is especially important if you are using a corporate provided template. We also work to get you trusted backlinks to help signal to Google that your website is a good resource. We stick to these practices because they are the most fundamental tactics for a quality website in Google’s eyes.
Google has recently changed their ranking algorithm such that the results are now also personalized to searcher. So if you search for a term from New York vs Albany, you would get different results. They have also added personalization queues from your social networks as well. So what you or your friends may like is influencing search results as well.
All of this leads to traditional keyword rankings, where you were once able to say you rank 3rd or 4th on search results, is not reliable anymore. Now, you could rank 3rd for one person and 15th for another. As a result, the main metric that we will be looking for in your results is a general increase of organic searches in your reports over time.
If you would like further clarification on anything above, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Once you start reviewing your report
If it’s the first 4 months of your service, you should be aware that it can take Google months to index and crawl your website. In some cases, it’s much faster. If your website or domain is completely new, it may take longer than usual. If it’s been two months and searching your domain doesn’t show results, you should get in touch with us to review your website.
If it’s been more than 4 months since you’ve had a Pro or SEO plan and your website is optimized for the proper keyword(s), you should start to show in the results when searching for those keywords. You may not be on the 1st page, but over time you will start to move up. There are times where the keyword(s) chosen are extremely competitive and therefore it makes more difficult to rank for.
An Example would be picking “New York Physical Training”.
Because New York is such a dense area, a large amount of SEO effort is required to compete in that market. This is not something that you can cover alone with Empowerkit’s SEO services. If you’re in an extremely dense area, you should consider supplementing your Empowerkit package with Pay Per Click (PPC).
By contrast, “Albany Physical Training” is something that would rank somewhere in the first few pages and move up over time.
When you are reviewing your report, if you do see something that doesn’t quite make sense, please do get in touch with us. It is possible that there’s an issue with the Google Analytics setup that may have caused erroneous data to appear.
We constantly monitor your stats and are making proactive optimizations to nudge your website in the right direction. For example, we have recently implemented a strategy that involves creating longer articles as opposed to shorter posts on your blog pages. You still get the same amount of content as the three shorter posts, however in one longer and better optimized article instead.
If you would like us to review your account and go over what else we can do for you, simply get in touch.
Lastly, we encourage you to be involved in sharing and spreading your unique content through your social networks as it will ultimately help your rankings.
