We’re excited to be sponsors of the DSA’s Whistlestop Tour, where members of the DSA leadership team are stopping through 10 cities across the country, leading up to this year’s 2012 Annual Meeting in Miami Beach, FL. At each event, the DSA will be showcasing historical moments from the association’s rich 100 year history in direct selling, as well as introducing its leadership team (including incoming President Joe Mariano), and holding an open discussion among the direct selling executives and industry professionals in attendance about some of the most important issues facing the industry, including:
- Health of Party Plan
- Industry Change
- International Expansion
- Internet & Social Media
- And much, much more
The first event kicked-off today in Fort Lauderdale, and the great folks at Team National were our gracious hosts for the day. In attendance were executives from Amazon Herb Co, Carico, and Green Revolution, among others. The room was filled with excitement about the year ahead, and the overwhelming potential that direct selling has in continuing to expand and improve.
As the event wrapped up, I chatted with Amy Robinson (DSA’s VP of Communications & Media Relations) to get a quick overview of the tour, and take-aways from today’s event:
More updates, commentary, photos, and videos to come throughout the Whistlestop Tour – stay tuned!
